Manchester Guitar Show

I went along to the Manchester Guitar Show on Sunday 10th May to see if there were any of the custom guitar makers exhibiting. The main hall was packed with retail stands with lots of potential rockstars widdling away on their favourite branded guitar. Outside the main hall were a few more retailers and then I spotted the Martyn Booth Guitars stand.

I popped over and had a chat with Nigel and Martyn, who, by the end of the day, were hoarse from talking to prospective customers. There was a lot of interest in Martyn's hand made guitars and the quality of them stood out among the standard Fenders and Gibsons. It's ironic that good musicians continue to buy mass market models when there are so many quality makers in the UK. If you have some money to spare in these hard times then why not invest in a top quality, hand made guitar?
