Ged Green builds, repairs and modifies – guitars, basses, mandolins and most other stringed instruments, both electric and acoustic. Based in Cheadle in Manchester Ged is well placed to serve the needs of guitarists in the North West.
Ged also makes 10- 15 custom one off instruments each year in addition to running his busy repair shop.
Biography
Ged has been working with and playing guitar and bass for over 30 years in both a professional and semi professional capacity. In his younger days he played in the band “Alberto-Y-Los Trios Paranoias” at the start of a promotional tour for their crazy, “Heads down No Nonsense Boogie” single. The band performed at shows with “Police” and, “Ian Dury And The Blockheads”.
As an experienced player Ged understands the standards and needs of working musicians and carries out guitar repairs, modification and custom building.
Among Ged’s customers are The Charlatans, Elbow, Sinead O’Connor, The Doves, Gary Barlow, Cherry Ghost, The Zutons, The La’s, and Eliot Kennedy.
