Pete completed a 2 year Stringed Instrument Repair course at Anniesland College where he learned to make guitars and perform all kinds of repair for violin and guitar under the expert tutelage of Paul Hyland and Bill Kelday. At the end of the two years he exhibited a parlour guitar in the Trades House of Glasgow “Craftex” competition, winning first prize in the musical instrument category.
A move to London followed where Pete completed a first class honours degree in Musical Instrument Technology at London Metropolitan University under tutors Dave King, Norman Myall and Martin Bowers.
Now located in the village of Blairmore, Argyll where he produces hand made classical guitars, working on only one at a time to ensure he gets the best sound possible from each instrument. If you want a high quality classical instrument, hand made with care, look no further than Pete.
